BMW has announced that it is recalling close to three-quarters of a million of its sedans, convertibles, coupes and sports wagons due to the possibility of electrical failure, which may lead to the vehicles stalling without warning, a very bad thing to happen while speeding down the autobahn indeed.
The recall impacts BMW’s 3-Series and 1-Series vehicles plus X1 crossover vehicles that were manufactured from March 2007 to July 2011 and sold in America, Canada, Japan and South Africa. Cars sold in Europe, to include in Germany, were not affected by the recall.
